Amitabh Bachchan | New Look | Paa | lastest movie

Paa directed by R Balki is a simple film told in the most simplistic manner. The film has strong emotional moments, powerful writing & execution, and above all it has superior actors mainly Amitabh Bachchan. Director R Balki has presented him as a kid suffering from progeria disease and he has managed to convey the message about the disease without much fuss.

The film revelas the story of Auro [Amitabh Bachchan] who is an intelligent, witty 13-yr old boy with an extremely rare genetic defect that causes accelerated ageing.

He suffers from a progeria like syndrome. Mentally he is 13, very normal, but physically he looks 5 times older. In spite of his condition, Auro is a very happy boy. He lives with his mother Vidya [Vidya Balan], who is a gynecologist.

Amol Arte [Abhishek Bachchan], is young, progressive and a full of ideals, politician. He is out to prove to the world that 'politics' is not a bad word. He is a man with a mission. Auro is Amol's son.

The first hour of Paa grips you in patches. The introduction of Auro is brilliant, but the post-interval portions take the film to dizzy heights and camouflages the defects. The father-son bonding and the penultimate 25 minutes raise the bar. The emotional quotient is tremendous.

Performance wise, Amitabh Bachchan is incredible as Auro. He has given an unbelievable performance. He has an author-backed role, sometimes he amuses your funny bones with his comments in one scene, in the next Auro tugs at your heart strings with his emotional paradoxes. Vidya Balan gives a power packed performance. Abhishek Bachchan is brilliant. Paresh Rawal is totally wasted in the film

On the whole, Paa is an amazing film. This is a film with fresh story made in sensible na reasonable budget. At multiplexes this film do a good business. Most of all watch it for Amitabh Bachchan.
