Manoj Bajpai | Hrishitaa Bhatt | Vijay Raz | Sanjay Mishra | Govind Namdeo | New Release | Jugaad

Jugaad’ is directed by Anand Kumar and stars Manoj Bajpai, Hrishitaa Bhatt, Vijay Raz, Sanjay Mishra, and Govind Namdeo. The film, which was shot mostly in Delhi and Gurgaon with a few locations in Mumbai, is a comedy with a heartfelt touch to it.

‘Jugaad’ is based on the real life story of Sandiip Kapur (Manoj Bajpai), who was the CEO of a successful advertising agency. The film revolves around the ceiling act imposed by the Delhi Government last year. Sandiip finds his previously successful advertising company literally out on the streets once its office has been ceiled by the MCD in Delhi.

Sandiip is forced to resort to all types of juggad in order to just keep his company afloat. Juggad is the slang word for all kinds of ethical machinations. This is how he comes across the character played by Sanjay Mishra.

Sanjay Mishra’s character does all kinds of juggad to help him find solutions for his problem. Sandiip used his best connections to try to get some help from officials. However, he is unsuccessful in any of his attempts. Sandiip is left on the road by himself with the rest of his team.

Sandiip comes across various characters during his journey, including property dealers, power brokers, people who are supposedly ‘connected’ with politicians, and senior officers. The film follows Sandiip’s struggles to re-establish his company from the ground up while defining the term ‘juggad.’

I seriously believe Punjabis are the funniest species on the planet, and I have attempted to capture that very essence of Punjabi humor in my film."

"Aloo Chaat," a family film, showcases a cross section of punjabi life with the a very possible situation. The movie is produced by Mirchi Movies and actor Anuj Saxena's Maverick Productions in association with Red Ice films. The soundtrack is out with RDB returning from "Singh is Kinng" to perform "Aloo Chaat" for the film. RDB brings energy and fun to the soundtrack which perfectly reflects the films character.

Also appearing in the film is American born actress Linda Arsenio. Linda has been acting in several Tamil and Telugu films but had her breakout into Bollywood with Kabir Khans "Kabul Express." When asked about Punjabi culture, Linda notes ''Punjabis are a bunch of spirited people. Moreover, the way they dance, the kind of costumes they wear, the style they possess, the sweetness they carry is all commendable. My entrance in this Punjabi household is also done very nicely. The character I play has been presented in a rather interesting manner. Moreover, there is a nice twist to the story that I bring, something that will have audience in splits.''

Akshay Kumar | Kareena Kapoor | New Release | Kambakkht Ishq

Akshay Kumar's latest 2009 flick is "Kambakkht Ishq." In this romantic comedy he teams up with bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor. Akshay Acts as a Hollywood stuntman while Kareena stars as model with no patience for Kumar's arrogance. The stuntman role should come natural to him since he just finished shooting "8x10" with action sequences as well as "Blue" which features Akshay surrounded by 40 sharks in one scene.

Kareena Kapoor on the other hand will have some experience with a sour relationship as her latest film "Main Aur Mrs. Khanna" shows off a good marriage gone astray. "Kambakkht Ishq" is a film that is bringing together the east and west, a trend becoming more prevalent in Bollywood cinema. Later this year the film "New York" will be released which was filmed in New York and Philadelphia. The Sajid

Nadiadwala film ran into some issues when the promo for the film was shown to have offensive language to showcase the hate between Kareena and Akshay.

Expect action sequences from the film and fireworks between Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor. Setting the film in Hollywood gives the viewer something different to look at. And having the two main stars hate each other offers an interesting battle of the sexes. Hollywood also offers a couple of its giants to appear as cameos in the film. Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Brandon Routh, and Denise Richards are confirmed to be part of the film. This isn't the first time that Akhsay will be working with a western icon. He just teamed up with Kylie Minogue for a song in "Blue." With the list of stars, "Kambakkht Ishq" is set to be one the biggest release of 2009 with much hype from the media. Akshay Kumar also has a handful of movies set to be released in 2009 which include, "Blue," "8x10," and "Chandni Chowk to China."
