November 18, 2009, (Sawf News) - Finally things seem to be moving for Viveck Vaswani's long awaited Dulha Mil Gaya, starring Sushmita Sen and Fardeen Khanand featuring Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo.
Morpheus Media Ventures (MMV) has acquired half ownership rights to the film which is produced by Viveck Vaswani's Insight Productions. MMV will be the sole presenter of the film. However, after a lot of delay, the movie needs to cross another big hurdle - it is yet to get buyers in some places in north India. Sources say about Rs 11 crore has been spent in the film's making. But the makers have been able to pocket only Rs 4 crore until now.
Debutant Mudassar Aziz helmed film, set in Punjab and the Caribbean, additionally stars Mohit Chaddha, Tara Sharma and Suchitra Pillai among others.
Despite his cameo, Shah Rukh Khan is seen prominently in the poster. Shah Rukh had to pay a heavy price for his friendly gesture to pal Aziz for doing the rather stretched cameo. Shah Rukh hurt his shoulder during the filming and had to go off work for many days due to pain and then a major shoulder surgery. He is still recuperating and hasn't accepted any action roles since.
Bumbling Fardeen, sexy Sush, and suave SRK make a colourful troika in this comedy of romance and heartaches. Don’t believe us?
Fardeen asked the unit to pack up, sent for an ambulance and rushed Mudassar to hospital. Recollecting the incident Mudassar says, “FK is a very sensitive guy. I’ve seen him perform duties almost meticulously as a son, brother, husband and friend in the time that I’ve known him.”
